spt -- welcome home

At our house, everyone uses the front door. You'd have to go through the gate and up the stairs to the deck to use the back door, and for a few months now, something strange has been going on with the sliding glass door so that you can't open it from the outside... Because of our dumb split-level floor plan, there would be no point in coming in through the garage, that would just land you in our chilly basement.

So, the front door it is. It needs a fresh coat of paint, it is flanked by ugly old textured glass, but at least it has spring flowers on it now! I finally got the flowers out today, thanks to Lelly's challenge.

Home, sweet home. Most of the time, there's nowhere I'd rather be. If only all my friends and family could come socialize with me here, ah... that would be heaven indeed. (Yeah, I'm bordering on hermitage these days.)

I LOVE your new header. Aren't Lelly's challenges great? They help me get things done, too.

i love your spring flowers. i haven't found anything to replace my valentine's heart yet, so my entry is barren!

i have some ugly faux leaded glass in my front door. i just want it to go away!! and, it's an oval insert. with square side windows. what the heck? i think i could do a whole different post just on that...

looking lovely - ready for spring?

As much as I love being home, I would come hang out at your house any day!

I got my flowers out for this SPT too. With the spring weather yesterday it seemed super wrong to still have a wreath hanging on my door!

Aren't you bordering on hermitage ALL the time, not just these days? Ha.

michelle your door looks fabulous and I love the flower arrangement. Can I pay you to make one for me?

I think your front door is lovely, especially with the flowers. I need to do that, ours seems so bare right now.

I like to be at home too most of the time. Stepping in through the door after a day of errands is such a relief.

Okay, I have some FAB ideas for a paint color for the door!! I'll email the ideas!

I could love being a hermit...if I just had time for it.

Your flowers are so beautiful! Did you make the arrangement yourself? I love it.
I'm with Natasha-I don't think the glass is bad at all! I kind of like it actually.

I think your door is beautiful especially with the flowers. I am a social person and love people, but like you I am often bordering on "hermitage". :)

It's hard to find the fine line between loving being home and hermitage. I struggle with it all the time. I love your flowers.

Your beautiful white door with the beautiful white flowers is enchanting. I like the glass (from a distance).
This challenge got me to sweep my front step and wipe down my mailbox!

I love the flowers on the door. I am inspired to try something here.

I, too, love the flowers...and the white door. If red is friendly & black is someone important, I'm now wondering what white would mean! Perhaps you're pure?!

Can you see in the textured glass?

We have a similar door with plain glass and I hate it.

Isn't SPT fun?
