trick or treat

{this pumpkin carved to Eva's specifications}

This year was SO easy, costume-wise. Eva's witch costume from last year still fits, so she wore it again. Lucas found a costume in Jill's dress-up box. Max decided (on the 29th) that he wanted to be a detective. Actually, he wanted to wear a fake moustache and glasses, and a detective seemed to fit the bill.

{my sweet little reaper}

This pictures reminds me SO much of Max when he was little!

{the cutest little tortoise}

Grandma & Grandpa came to see the kids in their costumes. Could this day get any better? (Check out Grandpa's ponytail hat!)

Having Katrina & Matho with us for trick or treating lessened the sting of not having Jessie & Bella a little bit. (The little ones were living the good life.) This is the first Halloween in Utah I can remember where we didn't have to bundle everyone up in coats and gloves!

{trick or treating wore Matho out!}

After the sorting and trading of candy was completed, the kids went off to bed and the adults watched a scary movie (The Descent) in the dark by candlelight and ate Katrina's fabulous vegetarian lasagna (possibly my all-time favorite dish). Good times.

The kids look great. It's nice your friend could be there. I thought about you and Jessie and how Halloween would be without each other.
Love Eva's tights.

Max's costume is awesome and I love that photo of him, very cool and a major improvement over last year's frightening Monk ensemble.

That's a great picture with the magnifying glass! Glad you had such a fun (and warm!) time.

I like that these costumes are just fun and imaginative. Our British Hallowe'en is just weak. The supermarkets are just full of rubber zombie masks and bottles of fake blood.

I love that Max wanted to wear the 'tasche and the specs!

I really feel like we need that recipe for the lasagna--especially after your raves. Those photos of your kiddos in costume look like they were taken professionally in a studio.

They all look so good! I was so glad we didn't have to don coats and gloves either. Cool to have a friend to go with.

And yes, we need that lasagna recipe post haste!

Oh, that picture of Eva trick or treating with her brothers is killing me! It's adorable. I really love seeing what your kids end up being for Halloween. I especially love to see what Max choses. He's got flair, that one.

Oh my goodness, what darling children! I'm about as objective as a grandmother can be!

I LOVE that profile of Eva. Please put that on my Christmas list.
