spt -- election day

I didn't get a chance to vote until around 5:00 p.m. I wonder if that explains the sparseness of fellow voters? I stood back a little way from the voting booths to avoid controversy. But still, I seem to have a look of consternation on my face. I think it's the old self-consciousness of the public self-portrait surfacing again... I snapped it as fast as I could and then skedaddled out of there before anyone started asking questions! And I didn't get an "I Voted" sticker -- what's up with that?

I like this picture- you look like you mean business when it comes to voting!

We had a ton of voters this morning so I didn't even bother taking my camera in there and opted for the parking lot shot.

Yeah for voting!!!

I didn't get a sticker either and left wondering why as well.

I chickened out of the public self-portrait and did mine outside the school.

There were hardly any voters when I went at 8am- I will be too busy reading my book club book to hear what kind of turnout they had this year but I do wonder.

I asked if I could take mine and this sweet old lady thought it was so cute and just loved that I was taking the picture myself and that my friend challenged me to do it... so I felt the need to be quick but very supported in my self portrait!

I get a little uncomfortable with those awkward public self-portraits, but am working on caring LESS!

I did not vote. :( I am a sad example of patriotism.

yeah that foto looks like you are under duress of some kind....probably perfect for a passport elsewhere other than the US here they are more amicable.

That's a really nice picture of you, Michelle!

Poo to the lack of stickers. Your SPT on the world-wide-blogosphere is a million miles better, don't you think?

You look very serious about voting, and you seem to have been one of the few brave ones to take the picture in public!
