perfect Fall afternoon

Earlier this week, Katrina and I took the kids to the park. The weather was perfect, I got some cute photos, and everyone had a great time. What could be better?

This is an example of what Eva would call a "cool trick".

It was so fun to see my dear friend as a mother.

Blue came along.

Eva was digging in the wood chips and Katrina hid a little starfish in there. Was she ever surprised when she discovered it!

We have a serious shortage of photos of the two of us, so we took some self-portraits. Does she not have the prettiest eyes?

Such a cute little guy.

This leaf-print intrigued me, and saddened me as well. I don't want Fall to end!

Love little Eva with pigtails!

We have been enjoying the park a lot lately too. Yesterday we stayed until the ranger was locking up!

Your photos are all lovely, I'm glad the weather was so nice for Katrina's visit.

She has beautiful eyes, and so do you, the self-portrait is great.

what fantastic pictures of you guys. I love the one where eva is hanging upside down...and her cute ribbon. Both of your eyes are beautiful, just like Jill said. What a great friendship and to be able to experience friendship with her being a new mum. Awesome. LOVE LOVE LOVE the park pictures--the little boy such a cutie

I love the one of Katrina and her boy- that is so cute!

I am feeling the same way about Fall ending- almost panicky to get out there as much as I can until it is too cold.

I just love that top photo of Eva! So cute!

I am sad that Fall is nearing to an end already too! Winter lasts sooo long, doesn't it?

Beautiful fall pictures - I think I welcomed winter in these parts today.

That leaf print reminds me of my favorite sidewalks at BYU down by the Maeser Building with those leaf imprints.

I love the picture of Eva's cool trick!

Fall? What fall? This year it's felt like fall has passed us by. We've been fluctuating between spring-like weather and full winter. I too wish fall would stick around a little longer. But since we're getting to that "everything looks dead" stage I'll take winter. That way we can just get it over with.

Your outing to the park looks like fun, though. Eva is such a cutie! And outings to the park are always astronomically better when you have a friend to go with. An old friend is even better.

Great photos, as usual! do you recall our annual leaf gathering trips in the East? When possible, we would combine it with a yearly visit from Grandma and Grandpa. We would tirelessly select the most beautiful leaves and put them in our baskets, take them home and press them between layers of newsprint and send them off to our family in the west! I used to love loves trecks. Ususally we would have a very early morning of it with our favorite drinks and donuts.

Thanks for the memories!
