a nod to Creative Friday

Yesterday was the return of Creative Friday! Woohoo! It was great to get back into our routine of getting together, working on projects, chatting, listening to music, and eating. However, I didn't really work on anything creative. I just made some progress toward getting caught up on my thank-you notes. Jill, being Jill, always applauds my efforts -- however minor -- and makes me feel as if I've done something truly worthwhile.

As a special treat, I thought I'd share something truly creative with you: Jessie made me this miniature accordion book, just because. Just because she wanted to challenge herself, to see if she could make a book with no photos and no journaling. Riiiiiiight.... As you can see, she succeeded beautifully in making a cool book of collage art. I am continually amazed by her talent and creativity. enjoy!

I have decided that anything that passes through Jessie's hands turns out beautifully. I love that book and want to pour over it again already. Genious.

I think you're being hard on yourself about what you did on Creative Friday. I have written thank you notes many times on Creative Friday and always leave feeling so satisfied with what I accomplished. It was so pleasing to see all your cards, postage, pens and address list out, I think you succeeded in being creative and doing something different than any other day.

Jessie's creativity leaves me speechless. I love it that she made that book for you just because, that's the best reason of all.

Jessie is such a creative genius! Who needs a scrapbook magazine when you have Jessie pages?

The only thing bad about the return of Creative Friday is how jealous I get reading your posts about it!

Awesome!

How does she do those things?????I can't get over the ideas and the energy! I had a bit of a hard time seeing it all, but I know that it came from her heart and it is all well earned. You are wonderful.

Sickening, really. The talent and creativity is just sickening. Can't the rest of us get just a little bit of that?! Oh, I forgot, you and Jill took the rest.
