Yesterday was a great day! Just what I needed to combat the blahs of Thursday. I'm sure you won't be surprised to hear that Jill made it all happen...
I dropped Eva off at her house in the morning and then went to get my hair cut and colored. (Gotta do my best to be cute for Paris!) I called Jill when I was finished and, in signature Jill style, she suggested I go do some errands. How could I turn that down? I dashed into Target to see if they had the red tote I'm looking for (no luck) and then to Old Navy to get jeans for Max (he has razor knees).
After picking up some Cafe Rio for lunch, I headed for home. Jill and her kids brought Eva home, using cookies and 80s tunes to keep her awake! As soon as they walked in the door, I put Eva down for her nap -- she slept for over 4 hours!!
To recap, 4 hours of alone time (bliss), gloriously long nap for Eva, Creative Friday with pretty much no child interference... just what the doctor ordered. Thanks, Jill!

She's so cute, thanks for taking those pictures of her while she was being creative. I love her new haircut and am smitten by her sense of self.
I'm so glad you got 4 hours of time by yourself. You can bring Eva over here anytime. She was so fun to have and did so great. I'm happy to give you a break from smotherhood any time, it's a gift for both of us because I hate to think of you never getting to be alone.
Our Cafe Rio lunch was fantastic and Creative Friday was a great success. Imagine if Eva slept 4 hours every week, maybe you should always bring her to me in the morning and then have errand time for yourself. I'm serious.
M-
I'm so happy you were able to get rid of the blahs from Thursday. It sounds like you had a great day and were able to continue to check off your list of "To Dos" before you head to Paris. I cannot believe it is coming so soon.
That Whitney is too cute!!
A four hour nap sound like heaven to me! It's rare that I am 4 hours without kids (except when they are at school). Griffin is my youngest and, sadly, I believe his napping days are just about gone.
Cute hair for Paris sounds great. I hope you will be able to blog from Paris, if not we'd all miss you so!
What a great day! That Jill is one in a million. And a 4 hour nap to boot- why can't we make that happen more often. You so deserve every bit of it :)
She is a doll! No doubt about it!
I'm glad Friday was soooo much better than Thursday! I can't believe all that happened in one day, but then again, I can! Thank goodness for a new hair do, creative Friday, and a good 4 hours of quiet time!
It made me smile when your post title popped up. I'm glad you had a great day to refill you tank, I hope it can last for awhile (at least until the refill next Friday).
Cute pictures of Whitney. It really was a great day!
PS - Do we get to see a picture of the new Paris hair?

Creative Friday sounds so fun.
I'm glad that you had a little alone time. So nice and so characteristic of Jill.
What a gift, that sounds like a great day!! How can you get Eva to love that 4 hour nap?
Hair before Paris is a must!
Jill is so great that way. I am glad you were able to get stuff done and have a creative day with Eva sleeping the whole time. Fabulous!
