self-portrait Tuesday

I have long wanted to participate in Self-Portrait Tuesday, but have never done it. So when Lelly put the challenge out there, I had to do it!

There's something so cool about taking self-portraits. Especially with a digital camera: you can immediately delete the horrifying shots! (most of them in my case) Plus, you have total control, so you can take measures to diminish chins, etc.

I'm not sure why I seem to prefer the ones that don't show my whole face, but there you have it. I like my lips and I like the color of my eyes, although I don't enjoy the wrinkles around them. And miraculously, I don't mind my hair, either. At least this is infinitely preferable to the truly scary passport photo I had taken on Friday!

I LOVE it that I, your mother, am the first one to post a comment on this fabulous photo of you, my eldest daughter! I love the photo too! (I must know more about this technique of lessening double chins-it does not not have anything to do with the "one hour lift" thing advertised all over the TV, does it?!!) It is a beautiful self-portrait, to be sure and I don't notice a single wrinkle, what are you talking about? I will enjoy revisiting that post for as long as it is available. After all, every mother crow thinks her baby's blackest!

Beautiful beautiful picture! And I loved your mom's comments. Very sweet. I have to learn some self-portrait techniques. All of mine seem to be from a frightening neck angle -- no matter where I hold the camera. eeek.

I just saw Jill's and had to see what you came up with. I have too wanted to participate in self portrait tuesday, mainly because I have taken a bunch, but I've never posted. I did take some today I was planning on posting later in the week.

The picture of you is awesome. I agree it is difficult to do, but so fun and much easier with a digital.

Michelle,
That is a great picture of you!

I just got my passport in the mail, and all I can say is "Yikes!" They say not to smile, but I look totally mad!

You are beautiful my friend, inside and out!

Hi Michelle,
Jill mentioned you on her blog and I have noticed you comment on several of the blogs I frequent. Just thought I would introduce myself. You already know my sister in law, Kelly. Love the picture!

oh my michelle you look stunning...and stricking and beautiful...and wholesome ...and just like kristi said once you are the true picture of romantisism...and the neatest thing is that you took the self portrait...sometimes it is funny how "spontaneous things....really resemble our truest self" nothing else comes close. I have been inspired to do so, although I am way late reading this post...and it is almost wednesday!

Oh my goodness! What a beautiful picture of you! Could you take my self picture portrait? *sigh* I know, that isn't really what self portrait means, but I don't want a double chin, or wrinkles either. You look absolutely beautiful!
