priceless

I thought maybe I'd share this idea for those of you who are inclined to do embroidery. When I was maybe 6 or 7, my mom asked me to draw some pictures with a pencil on muslin, then she embroidered over my lines. They are a treasure to me, first just to see what kinds of drawings I made, but mostly because she valued my work enough to immortalize it like this. I think I will have to make some of my own sometime, maybe for Eva. I still feel happy every time I look at them! Thanks, Mom.

That is a great idea, your mom is very creative. I can't wait to do that with Kira. I know she and I will treasure those forever.

I've looked at those 100 times while at your house, but I always thought you made them. It's way cooler that your mom had you draw the pictures and then she sewed over them. Priceless indeed.

I love it! I do think I'll need to wait at least a year, Kat's pictures are still a little crazy. Really long fingers and BIG eyes!

That's really awesome... I wish I knew how to embroider, I can think of all kinds of things I would like to do with that. Maybe if it is not hard, I will try and teach myself. Is it hard? Does anyone know? haha

Great idea! One of my aunts had an idea to make a quilt for my grandma with drawings from all of the grandkids that she wanted to embroider. I'm pretty sure the quilt never got made. Too bad. It would have been adorable! So, are you going to teach us needle impaired people how to embroider?
