we've gone wi-fi

Shocking, isn't it? We were on dial-up until just a few days ago, and now we've kicked it up a notch to go wireless. The photo is of Marc disassembling the computer to put a wireless card in. (Incidentally, it's amazing how far he's come since we first met. I used to type his papers when we were at BYU because he couldn't even type! Now he knows more about computers than I do.) He actually said, "Who's the man?" Well, there's really only ever one response to that question, isn't there?

We were pretty motivated because we had this big green cable stretched across a main thoroughfare (kitchen to dining area). Plus, Marc often brings his laptop home to do some work, but he can get so much more done at home now that he can use it to access the internet. It was so funny last night, I was paying the bills online and he was also logged in to our bank account to check some other things. We were sitting right next to each other. Ahhh, technology!

You're officially freaking me out. I'm so giddy about your high speed technology and many posts that it makes me want to do a little jig. La-di-da-di-da-tra-la!

How cool! I didn't know you could just add a card to your computer and be wireless. Is it expensive or not? Three cheers for you!! (oh and mark of course)

Julie, many computers already have the card installed, ours didn't so we had to add it. You also need a wireless router that plugs into the wall, then your internet cable plugs into that. Voila!

This is so cool! Linc was on his laptop while I was online yesterday and it is so nice not to have to share the computer or interent or deal with pesky cables. I am so stoked for you! Although- I don't think you have posted near enough pictures for not having dial-up anymore. You so need to abuse the speed! hehehe

In honor of your high speed and wi-fi, I have decided to do my post about technology. I meant to do it two weeks ago but didn't. I am happy for you when it is working right!

I can't say enough about wireless Internet. Right now I'm sititng on my couch, catching up on my TiVo-ed shows from last week and all of the blogs I missed out on while I was out of town. Technology is a wonderful thing!
