MY nemesis

Remember when Jessie posted awhile back about her nemesis cookies? While I have several nemeses (m&ms and chocolate chip cookies quickly come to mind), this may be at the top of the list. Chocolate-covered nuts. Almonds, pecans, cashews... there may be a few peanuts in there -- I tolerate them, but I adore the others.

The scary thing is that I can get these in the bulk bins at the grocery store just down the street from my house. And to make matters worse, they put the bulk bins at the edge of the produce section! So every time I go to the store I am tempted by these little gems. Another scary thing: this is the only thing that I have ever eaten until I feel sick. See why it's my nemesis??

How I love the chocolate covered nut and agree that peanuts are only tolerable. I hate that Harmon's has the bins right by the produce- it just irks me. I always think, "Hm, some chocolate covered nuts would go nicely with these bananas."

How did I not know this about you?? I'm familiar with your affection for m&m's and share that with you, but had no clue that you were so tempted by bulk bins of chocolate-covered nuts...go figure. That's not even a minor temptation for me, but the chip aisle is another story all together.

Luckily the candy bins at our store are far away from the produce. I first thought your picture was of chocolate covered rasins and I thought oh yummy we share the same nemesis.

I do share a passion for Almond Clusters...they are my absolute favorite...milk chocolate from Sees--I even requested if they came to the hospital to see the baby if they would be so kind to bring me a few of those treasured goods...I must say it is the only time I have obsessed about eating the whole box...right after the baby was born and before I got home from the hospital! For sake of enjoyment I do have one here and there...but only buy them by no more than 5 pieces at a time...maybe it is time to get a new baby!! jejejejeejjjeje

You make me laugh! You've actually eaten enough chocolate covered nuts to make yourself sick? And Jill was unaware of this love! It's amazing that there are still things to learn! I can understand the love, though. Anything with nuts is ok by me. Well, actually, any sweet. . .

funny I thought for a moment that they were OLIVES--I've been cooking too much Spanish food lately!

My strongest temptation at the moment are those ice cream sandwiches you can find in the frozen vending machines on campus. They're chocolate chocolate chip cookies with a sizeable amount of mint ice cream in the middle and it is truly heavenly. Combine that with the "free" money on my meal card every day and you have one bad nemesis my friend.

We all have our downfalls and weaknesses with treats. I enjoy plain pecans but not any other types of nuts. So I am not tempted by those. But chips ahoy now thats another story. Go figure I am sure most people gag when they hear that. I was just telling Angie I could sit down and eat one whole package with a HUGE glass of milk.

Take 5 Bars! I've decided they are called that because it means you can take those last 5 lbs and keep them right where they are! or those last 5 lbs on each bum cheek in my case!)

My worst enemy for sure. When my friend Brandy comes over she will call first and say "Is it a Take 5 and Code Red Mtn Dew Day or not?" How sad?

Yum!!! Put some caramel with it, make it a turtle candy and that's even better!!!!!!! If those were in my house, I couldn't resist either.

Hey, almonds are good for you anyway. YUM! I don't know if I can pick just one thing I'm tempted by!

I think it is time to get that picture off your blog- it is rather tempting right now...

I know what you mean about nemises food. For some reason I can be complete full and still eat 4 choc chip cookies. I can be sick and think eating one will make me feel better. What is up with that??
