for Hannah

one of my all-time favorite recipes:

Green Green Salad

2/3 c. vegetable oil
1/3 c. fresh lime juice
1 1/2 t. salt
1/8 t. white pepper
1/8 t. cayenne pepper
1/4 t. celery salt
6 paper-thin slices of fresh lime

1 1/2 quarts mixed greens

anything green - my favorites include thawed frozen peas, green onions, avocado, cucumber, kiwi. Grandma adds celery and green grapes. Add anything you like that is green! Toss the salad with just enough dressing to cover the greens.

Okay- that was soooo good! Like way too good to put into words. I am already looking forward to eating it with lunch tomorrow but might have to have a little more before bed tonight. I used olive oil instead of the veg oil but otherwise did everything else the same. Painful Michelle...so painfully good.

this is exciting going to try it. GREEN is so good for your body...it has a lot of anti-cancer qualities that combat it!

O.k, now we're talking! This is possibly the salad of my dreams! Lime?! Oh, yes. Can't wait to make it. I'm sure you have no clue who I am, but I've seen your comments of several other blogs and wanted to check yours out (I am a friend of Tasha, Amy W., Jenny Clouse - that crew). Nice to meet you! Thanks for the salad recipe. It will be gracing our table this evening.
