success?
Jill came over yesterday for Creative Friday. It felt like it had been forever even though really it was only about a week and a half. How I love these days -- it's the only day of my week where I don't schedule anything. I don't accept any obligations on Fridays. So even though I still have kids to get ready for school and a needy little baby, it feels like a little vacation because I'm not doing any of the other everyday stuff. Just hanging out with my friend and trying to create. Whitney even helps to entertain Eva! Thanks, Jill, for leaving the comfort of your home on your free day and coming to make my day (week, really) so much better...
In other news, I tried the Windsor Pilates DVD that Amy W. sent me last week. The thing is, I hadn't really noticed until it started that it is the advanced version. Yikes! It was kind of depressing to see just how out of shape and inflexible I have become. I couldn't even get into some of the positions. I tried my best, but I think I may have to put that one aside as a goal for the future. Something to work towards. It did make me want to regain my former limber body. I want to be able to move it in all different ways. I'm going to have to start working in some serious stretching and core work to my routine. Anyone have any good suggestions for doing this at home?
Marc's mom Mim came over to visit this week. Eva was thrilled to have one of her fans around -- they definitely have a mutual admiration society going on. At naptime, Eva wanted Grandma to read to her, and Grandma was only too happy to oblige. I snapped some photos, all of which came out blurry. I was disappointed, but decided to use one anyway because I thought their expressions were so cute.
I went to D.I. today to scope out the book section because Jill hasn't been for a little while, so I thought they might have had a chance to replenish! I found 6 books, nothing like Jill's scores, but since they were all $.75 (much cheaper than the usual $2 in Provo), I was happy. Then we hit Albertson's for their huge 10 for $10 sale. Unfortunately they were already sold out of lots of things that I wanted, but I still ended up spending $35 and saving $36. Not too shabby. (Have I ventured into the truly uninteresting minutiae now??)
Now as to the title of this post. We may have solved the computer problem. I should say Marc may have solved it, as I didn't have anything to do with it. On Thursday night it said we had 0 KB available! Definitely the worst yet. Marc brought home an external hard drive from work with the program that analyzes your memory allocation on it. The top two culprits were the screen saver and the crash log. (Long ago, Max installed a screen saver from MacAddict. It didn't work properly and the screen has flashed on and off when it's in sleep mode ever since.) He deleted those two things and now we have 38 GB! Marc's theory is that whenever the computer went to sleep, the faulty screen saver program generated info for the crash log. I don't know if that's it, but it sounds good to me. Lara, thanks so much for talking to Adam about the problem. I will definitely try deleting the other languages.

You guys are an inspiration to set aside a craft day. That sounds heavenly to me!
I am a total wimp when it comes to pilates. My body (well since kids) just doesn't stretch like it used to) I have heard over time that it just takes getting used to.
Glad you had a good day and were able to fix your computer issues for now.
Love the picture of all the supplies. That's just happiness in itself. And though it's blurry, the picture of Eva and Mim is so cute! Don't you hate when all your pictures end up blurry?
I was hoping that all the comments I had on my blog from you meant that you were back up and running! How smart of Marc to bring an estrenal hard drive home from work! I hope your computer woes are over and that we never have to go through such a Michelle dry spell again.!
Which DI do you love to go to? American Fork is my fave. We have found many good finds there!
Dana
I'm so glad Marc solved the memory problem on the computer. It's grim when you have computer troubles and can't post pictures. Welcome back.
You know we're always happy to come over on Fridays, I think we all need the break. We've got a good thing going.
I think the picture of Eva and Mim is cute even if it's blurry. It cracks me up when babies smile while the binkie is in their mouth.
It sounds like it was a nice creative Friday. I am jealous and desperately in need of a day I can spend just creating.
Hey I have the pilates dvd too...but sad to say...I don't have a space big enough to exercise...townhome...so sometimes I get frustrated because I want to do something extra...and it doesn't happen!
ps i love the white letter stickers! wow cool!
I'm sure you can find a beginning Pilates DVD for like $5 somewhere. Do they have Pilates classes in your area?
Cute picture of Marc's mom & Eva. Aren't grandparents the best?
I'm glad that your computer seems to be working better. I always feel consoled when even Nate wants to throw his across the room sometimes.
The Albertsons employees tell me that they are restocking the sale on Monday. So...of course, I'll be heading back out. Can't beat a sale like that!
I love the picture of Eva and Mim, they look like they are having a great time.
It sounds like I need to get to the Albertson's sale.
I hope your computer troubles are over! I love for there to be a new post when I look!
I love the picture of your supplies, you and Jessie have the cutest supplies.
Glad Marc was able to solve your computer problems, that would frustrate me to no end to not have my computer working.
Eva looks like an angel in that picture. Thank goodness for Grandmas. Now, if Kira and Josh's only lived closer.
ps. Congrats for doing the Pilates DVD. Pilates is hard don't sell youself short. I have a DVD that has about 30 different workouts, at all diferent levels, I'd love to make a copy for you if you are interested, just let me know.
Well crap! I really did want to send you a copy of the FIRST(original I guess) 20 minute workout but I only have it on VHS. Look for it online--it will be cheap. It is still the winsor pilates--but not as advanced. Sorry Michelle!
Whoa, it's all greek to me! You might as well ask me to perform brain surgery, as DPW says! I do hope that's the problem however!
