One day during our trip to Charleston, some of the girls made a foray to the Ulta store. I've never been to one, only visited their website. All of the Ulta brand products were on sale half-off that day, so I got several new eyeshadows (thanks for picking such great colors, Emily!) and some lipsticks. I'm such a sucker for lipstick. I also decided to try some liquid eyeliner, after seeing it on Jessie. I like it. I think it helps my eyes not to fade into my face so much.
They were giving a demonstration of Bare Minerals that day and we tried it out. I guess I've been living under a rock, because apparently it has been out for years and now all the cosmetics companies have their own version. Mom bought the starter kit and we all used it for a couple of days at the beach house. When we left, Mom gave it to me! I felt very fortunate to be the recipient, since we all liked it a lot. It seems to be the perfect solution for me: I don't enjoy wearing foundation but I like the finished look it provides. Bare Minerals makes me look like I'm wearing foundation, but it doesn't feel like I'm wearing anything! No worries about an extra layer sealing in the heat. I love this stuff.

I've seen the informercial (one of my late night tv binges) for Bare Minerals and it looks pretty cool. I'll have to try some of yours to see for myself. Is it magic powder or what?

I love this stuff and it's a natural sunblock of like spf 25. They say you don't even need to wash it off at night because it's all natural. I give it two thumbs up.
oh that is so awesome! I finally got rid of "TONS OF MAKEUP" I had a double bag, I just added and added and never threw antyhing away... so I am ready to start again! So that is good to know...thanks for the tip!
You can get it on ebay. I looked for a starter kit on there and found a double stocked one for $20. I'll let you know in a week or so if it's magic powder on my face.
I am so clueless when it comes to make-up. I don't like wearing it much because I hate the feeling of it on my skin. This sounds interesting for sure- I might have to check out eBay like Jill one day.
I want to try it! Is it fast though? I like how fast I can apply my foundation.. I can't belive you can even get away without foundation. That woudl be an atrocity on me for sure.
Don't you just love Ulta, I always bring out Ulta treats to my mom and sis whenever I visit.
A bunch of people I work with love bare minerals and I was thinking of giving it a try and by your description, I should.
I haven't heard of this....but I am a sucker for all makeup. I always think it will make me cute...but...it's still me.
