party on!

the spread

Hannah and Kristi, eating and talking

Robin and Rachelle (are they wondering what they got themselves into?)

Amy M., chillin'

Jana, not the least bit busy!

Collette, sitting pretty, thanks to cortisone!

Amie, showing off her tan (thanks for the pointers!)

Jill's bucket o' cold drinks. She's the hostess with the mostess.

Kristi trying to look excited about the framed photo of Jessie's ugly cat!

Jessie, laughing about the above scene, a bit blurry but still the most photogenic person I know...

Jill opening her fancy chocolate cake from Collette. Yum.

Last night's blog party was just so fun. I really enjoyed seeing everyone (there was only one person, Julie, that I hadn't met yet) and getting to know you all better. It was so interesting how everyone seemed to feel at ease and comfortable, even though many of us hadn't met before. I guess after reading so much about each other's lives, it's like we do know each other, even if we hadn't met yet. I love that.

The weather really cooperated for us -- warm, but not hot. Overcast, so we weren't squinting. Thanks for hosting us, Jill. Your front yard was really the perfect location, and even after we moved inside, it all worked out great. I am still marveling about how the gift-giving worked out. It really seemed like so many of the gifts made it to their ideal recipient. Interesting, huh? I personally don't think anyone could have appreciated Rachelle's polka-dot themed gift as much as I did... And it was just fun to see what everyone came up with -- I learned more about you by seeing what items you chose to represent you and your likes, hobbies, passions, etc.

For me a highlight was being able to see Kristi again after all this time. Kristi, you are so fun and so darling. It's like you haven't changed a bit! And I loved being able to see your children and Jeff, even though it was very brief. Really the only downside to the whole night was missing the people who couldn't be there. To have everyone gathered together from our whole blogging community, that would have been truly amazing. So if you live far away or couldn't make it for other reasons, know that you were definitely missed!

Two final thoughts: 1) If you were at the party but you are not pictured above, I didn't get anything decent of you, and 2) Can you even believe how many pictures I posted with my dial-up connection? Who loves you, baby?

Hmm.. I think I have kind of a pelican neck in that picture, but whatever... I had more fun last (last) night than I can remember in a long time. I loved it! Thanks for the love- I too braved the dial-up and posted many-a-picure for my public. :)

I'm laughing about "who loves you baby?" too. Thanks for braving the frustrations of dial-up and posting so many photos. Thanks also for writing a good review of the night. When I finally sat down to post last night I was such a wreck (exhausted after taking wedding photos & sick with a cold) that I could hardly put sentences together. I just figured it was better to get something posted, than to wait until I feel better. You did a great job!

Thanks for the pictures. I was so excited to see how the event went. I love getting together with girlfriends and learning more about women. I'm so happy it was a great time had by all. Here's hoping to another blog party in the future!

Seriously- dial up. You are a saint!

I've been checking many times yesterday to see when you would post! Thanks for all the pictures, though it makes me sad not to have been there. Looks like a great party!

Oh my gosh, I just checked back and as I was looking at your pictures I remembered that I still have that piece of cake in the fridge! I was gone all day yesterday and was feeling so exhausted and sick that I didn't remember. I'm home sick from church today (I'm so wasted) but will go eat the cake now (especially since Whitney isn't home to slide up next to me and eat it all). Hooray.

Yet one more reason why I am sad that we live so far away....sad, sad, sad, very sad, way sad, SAD! It sures looks fun and a bit of a break from motherhood----eek! BTW, how is Eva doing today? I'm sure you'll have something to say about that next time! I hope Jessie has a photo of you on hers--love you.

Michelle, it was so great seeing you again - and for longer than a brief "hello, goodbye." (: Great recap (though the picture of me is gross - The tint in my glasses always makes me look old lady-ish. *regretting transitions lenses*) Way to go for braving the dial-up. I remember those days all to well from being at my parents house.

I love these photos! It was fun and I am glad I was able to enjoy it (thanks to cortisone). I hope you and your family are doing better. Looking forward to Thursday!!!

I love the fact that both you and Jill have a camera now. You're right -- I didn't look one bit busy, I didn't feel one bit busy, and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Thanks, once again, for a great evening ladies.

I am astonished that you downloaded so many pictures on dial up! I don't think I would have the patience to do so. Loved the pictures from the party, it looks like you gals had a gay old time!
