package from Kristi!
The most fun package arrived almost two weeks ago! That's how out of it I've been. I just haven't had a chance to post about it until now... Anyway, it arrived at my house but was addressed simply to: Michelle & Jill, Friday Craft Queens -- and on the box was written: "to be opened on a fun Friday". I called Jill and told her about it. The curiosity about what it could be was killing us. To further complicate things, we knew we weren't going to be able to have a Creative Friday for another two weeks due to my kids' illness and blog party preparations. Obviously, we couldn't wait that long to open it! So we cheated a little. We got together to open it on a Thursday night.
Kristi collected a bunch of things that she thought we would enjoy, which include: 2 copies of the soundtrack to High School Musical (I know I'm totally out of it, but I had never heard it and haven't seen the movie), Cadbury mini eggs (a Friday favorite), the little embroidered pillow with her blog name on it (presumably so she could be with us in spirit), some cute Heidi Swapp scrapbooking stuff from Target (sadly our local Targets don't carry the line), a "j" magnet, a darling stamp set from Stampin' Up (we'd never seen it before), a little black scrapbook from Creative Memories that she didn't have a use for, samples of some really cute artwork she's done with a scrapbook software program, something that appears to be sheets of chipboard with an orange coating (most intriguing), and my personal favorite, a length of vintage ribbon that she found a long time ago and was inspired to send to us after hearing about the story of the pink buttons Jessie sent me.
Can you believe it? So thoughtful, so fun. It was great to open it together, too, to ooh and aah over everything with someone equally excited about it all. Great idea, Kristi. And now that I'm looking back on my recent posts, with all of the goodies and thoughtfulness that has come my way over the past couple of weeks, I'm slightly embarrassed about my whining. Apparently I'm a wuss and I didn't even know it...

i am so glad you guys liked it.
i am sorry i couldn't find a m magnet for you.
i am so insanely jealous of your friday's with jill i wan't to invite myself in spirit.
enjoy the goodies!
That was such a great surprise and really so thoughtful of Kristi. If we ever get to be together on a Friday again we will pay homage to Kristi and keep that cute pillow on the table for sure. Thanks!
How nice to have such a thoughtful friend. I'm sure you and Jill will be able to create some beautiful things with your new goodies.
What a fun package. It resembles Christmas (with Easter candy)! I am in trouble if the good mail starts getting creative too (an open together for a certain event!).
I just finished watching/napping through High School Musical again with the kids. We have to be in the 20's of times we've/they've watched!
Emily will be so jealous that you have the "High School Musical" soundtrack. When you see her in Charleston, ask her to demonstrate the number she choreographed using skills learned from watching this show!
It sounds like a very fun surprise. I love mini eggs too. They are the best treat.
How did you like the soundtrack to High School musical? I've had several people tell me that I just have to watch it, and I've just never had a chance. It sounds like my kind of show, though.
Great package, Kristi!
Good mail abounds again. SO fun. Weird, but I didn't see this post until this morning... I feel out of it, like in a time warp. I too am 'so insanely jealous of your friday's with jill'.
i wish our target had heidi swapp!
I am so jealous of your Friday's too and also of the fact that you guys just live so close! The package sounds like such a fun way to celebrate an afternoon together. This only reaffirms my vote for Kristi as one of the world's most thogutful friends. I don't know if I told you guys this but Kristi called me one days in tears after I had told her about my mess of a divorce and she cried with me for a long logn time. Then she did the most thoughtful and meaningful thing that could have been offered to me at the time-she created the most beautiful personalized baby announcements for me to send to my friends and family since I had a newborn that I could barely take care of let alone get it together enough to create anything even close to what she came up with for Landry. It was such an amazing gift and a blessing and I still tear up thinking about the kindness of her gesture.
