page 15 for {21} challenge and other misc.

This is the art journal page I started last night. I started out writing the quote with a white pen on blue cardstock. Then both of my white pens wigged out and I had to toss that out. It wasn't all bad, though, because it pushed me to try printing white text on a colored background, something I've been wanting to do for a long time. I'm not sure why I waited so long, because it's super easy to do. This afternoon I took a picture of my "piano bucket" (treats for piano students that get all their practices) because candy is definitely one of my big temptations.

Last night before bed, Lucas came out of his room with a moustache drawn on his face with a pen. I have absolutely no idea what this is about. He really wanted to keep it on overnight, so I let him and then he washed it off before school. Kids certainly know how to keep you on your toes, eh?

Jill, Landon & Whitney came over today. I worked on getting some good mail ready to send, so I can't post what I did. The kids jumped on the trampoline a lot and even let Eva join in for awhile, much to her delight.

This is Eva with Max & Lucas's lunch boxes. As soon as they get home from school, she does a nose dive for the lunch boxes and starts carrying them around. Maybe we should get her one for her birthday!

I love the photo fest and your art journal page--it's looks great. The white ink on the blue looks so professional or something, like it couldn't have been at home.

I love that dress on Eva, it's painfully cute. I have no words for Lucas' mustache experience except for beware of puberty--what if he wants to keep one then? Yikes.

I cracked up at the picture of Lucas with the moustache...He is looking so much older! I love the picture of Eva with the lunch boxes! Certainly not a baby anymore!!

Michelle, I saw a quote the other day that went, "the only limits are your own expectations". Don't you hate those types of quotes? They place all the responsibility on us when I am happy to come up with a dozen excuses, sheesh. My cover is blown.

I love your page. So so so cute. And all the pictures are so nice. I like how Whitney's hair looks in her picture. And Eva with those lunch boxes! I think you are making us all want a trampoline by the way...

I LOVE the picture of Eva--such a typical little person who looks like she thinks she ought to be included in all the stuff the "Big Kids" get to do, but for now has to be content with merely holding the lunch boxes and wistfully watching from the patio door.

The trampoline we bought at Sam's Club a few years ago just broke! I don't know what I'm going to do this summer, as that is the kids' main form of entertainment (they love to turn on the sprinkler and jump on a hot day, which works well since we can't afford a pool membership). Where did you buy your trampoline?

First of all, I love your newest page. It's great! If I had a candy bucket like that in my hosue I'd have to constantly refill it because I'd be raiding it all of the time.

Second, what a funny thing for Lucas to do! I'm still laughing thinking of him walking up to you with a mustache drawn onto his face! What a hoot!

Finally, you should get Eva a really cute purse. Kaitlin was and still is obsessed with purses from a very early age. Eva would love it, I'm sure--especially when she figures out how to put things inside of it.
