I love the weekend of General Conference so much! I really look forward to it, moreso since we've been living in Utah and can watch it from the comfort of our own family room. The combination of inspired guidance, staying in jammies all day if you want, a special breakfast, and concentrated family time just makes me feel so happy.
I've been thinking a lot about Jill's & Jessie's posts about choices. So the talk by Elder Hales this morning about how we use our agency really struck a chord with me. I like how he stressed that we need to act, not be acted upon. And he re-iterated that all of those small daily choices we make determine where we are going in our lives, with our testimonies and characters, who we become! I hope to be able to pay more attention to each choice I make every day, living with more purpose, realizing that even those small decisions have consequences in my life.

I just finished typing up my notes from his talk. It was so good, and went so perfectly with this topic of choices that we've been talking about since yesterday. Coincidence? I don't think so.

I'm always telling my kids, "It's always fair when you get to choose!" I really missed watching conference today but look forward to ironing while watching the sessions on PVR after I get home.
