100th post!

I just happened to notice that this is my 100th post. Gosh, if I'd known, I think I would have pushed through the funk and gotten online sooner! anyway...

On the occasion of my 100th post, I thought I'd give some of my reasons for loving the blogs. The benefits of blogging, if you will.

  • it has enlarged my circle of friends
  • it has enabled me to reach out and connect with all my family & friends with one stroke, which, honestly, is the only way I could ever do it!
  • it has gotten me thinking about what I'm grateful for more often
  • it has provided me with many laughs
  • it has proven to me that I do occasionally have thoughts worth sharing!
  • it has become a litmus test for how everyone's faring (if too much time elapses without posting or commenting, expect a call or email from Jill!)
  • it has given me a reason to want to learn html (or, I guess css would be more accurate)
  • it has given me insight into others' struggles
  • it has helped me to rekindle two old friendships
  • it has gotten me online nearly every day (quite a feat considering that we still have a dial-up connection!)
  • it has convinced me that I really want to switch to digital photography
  • it has provided a forum for sharing ideas and thoughtfulness of others
  • it has given me much food for thought and inspired me to improve myself

What would be on your list?

Congrats on your 100th post, that's so cool. Have you ever kept a journal with 100 entries before? I know I haven't.

I've gotten a lot from blogging as well. I especially love the DAILY connection to friends and family. I love reading about the minutia of their lives--that's the good stuff really.

Also, I think blogging is doing something creative everyday. Aren't we writing something? Don't you find yourself spending time thinking about what you want to say or pondering something someone else has said and then expanding on it? I think it's like a pebble in a pond with all it's affects. I love it.

You covered the list very well. If I think of something else I will come back. I love the glimpse into everyone's lives and thoughts. I also feel like I have been inspired and trying to do better because of something someone shared. I also think I have done more out loud laughing all by myself which enjoyable.
