spring in utah

This is what our backyard looked like when we woke up this morning! Utah's weather is always so strange when the seasons are changing. One day will be very warm and springy, the next day a snowstorm. Never mind the fact that the tulips are coming up and the willows are turning green. Trees and bushes are getting buds and starting to leaf out, and then wham! I feel kind of sorry for them. They probably don't know what hit them. Almost every spring we get a big snow right when my tulips are in full bloom and my plum trees are covered with their delicate pink blossoms. It kills me to have even a day lost of enjoying those blossoms -- they don't last nearly long enough. I guess this is just life in Utah!

I didn't even seen this post down on your page. Apparently I was so absorbed by your quote from the Rector's Wife that I didn't scroll down to check for more.

Beautiful photo. I couldn't believe my eyes when I woke up this morning either, and had some serious hibernation pangs that had to be overcome.

What a beautiful picture!! I love to LOOK at the snow but I hate being in it. Another reason why I wasn't terribly sad about not going to church this morning.

I was driving in it at 8am and it was not fun. But looking at it can be peaceful I suppose, from inside my warm house that is.

So pretty! I wish it wasn't so windy up here. We never have pleasing snow accumulation, just drifts in the most inconvenient places.
