inspiration

I've been slowly scanning photos to upload to my smugmug galleries and came across this picture I took at a flower market in Paris. It's not a particularly good photo, I just had to snap a picture because I loved the arrangement so much and I wanted to remember it. When I found this old picture (I cannot believe we've been home from our last stay in Paris for almost 4 years!!) I was amazed at how much I still love those flowers. I'm going to start an inspirations journal -- just a notebook of photos that inspire me or make me feel happy. What inspires you?

What a gorgeous photo. I can't believe you've been back for almost 4 years. Apparently I have no concept of time anymore (either that or I'm getting old enough that the years are blending together).

I'm inspired by the desire to take pictures. I love the way I can change how I see something or someone just by how I frame them in the camera. I was taking pictures of some random things today as I was trying to finish a roll of film, and was surprised again at how different the simplest things can be when you take a moment to really look at them. So pretty much everything inspires me when I see it through my camera.

Those colors are so beautiful. The tone of the blue and orange flowers is perfect. I can't really think of what inspires me, and that makes me kinda sad. Small accomplishments really inspire me to keep up with whatever I am doing, like having a clean house for more than a day or two is inspiring to me. Guess I will have to think of this one some more...

Like Amie, I am easily inspired and then too tired to do anything about it!! And it makes me sad and giddy to think of a flower market! I wish we had one of those! That would definately inspire me!!

I will have to think of that one! but for sure I think we are quite alike...I absolutely love that bouquet! and one thing for sure, I tried to call my blog Chez Moi and it was taken....now I know by whom...that was funny since I did not know you had it when I tried it...and I had picked the black background too! so I wouldn't be surprised if we got inspiration from similar things...at least we do have one thing in common and that is our "mon cherie" JIll

This photo makes me miss Paris, too. I can't wait until Spring. I ventured to work in my open-toed shoes cause I am sick of wearing clunky boots.

I always think it's funny when people say they find inspiration everywhere. It seems like it would take a whole lot of alertness to fins inspiration everywhere. But then I was sitting at my kitchen table looking at some catalogs and magazines that I got in the mail and I found a page that I just had to tear out--I loved the colors in it that much! So, I guess, I am the kind of person who can find inspiration anywhere as well.

Pretty picture of the flowers. That's how I imagine Paris. A city overflowing with beauties.

Send me a copy of that photo please! I keep a file of great flower combinations to inspire ideas when I have to do fresh flowers for clients--that is a fabulous combination of flowers and colors!! I love it! Today I sold the farm armoire that we bought at the Paris flea market together. it was kinda sad, but glad!! i kept the chickenwire door for a prop! Did you get your remaining birthday packages yet? Love you.
