can it be?
Is Spring really here? I took some photos of the crocuses in our backyard a couple of days ago. It's the only bright spot in what Jack has turned into a dreary, muddy landscape. The sun is shining, it's nice and warm, and the birds are singing. Our trees have little buds on them and the tulips are preparing to bloom. I feel a little sorry for all of these creations that don't realize it's sure to snow again. Every single Spring we get a big snowfall just as the tulips are open and our plum trees are in full bloom. The tulips get bent over and the delicate blossoms can't handle the weight of the snow. Wouldn't it be great if we could just skip that tradition this year? Loving Spring.

I think we are going to go to the park today because there only seems to be a good day or two between storms....I hope the flowers will be safe from snow too.
I hope we can skip the snow this year too. Our flowers are happy and thriving, and I hate to have my spirits echo their growth only to have them crushed by the snow as well.
I just want to get out there and weed my flower beds without it being all muddy and whatnot. I so want spring to stay...
Stop it, stop it, stop it! I can't stand it! (So pretty, though. Thanks for sharing.)
seeing as how I'm resting from extractions and on medication that limits my exposure to the sun- I could stand a couple days of rain instead of the gorgeous sunshine that is torturing me because it knows I can't come out!! :)
Yes-doesn't Utahs big Spring snowfall usually happen Easter weekend? That or Conference-so watch out. Love those adventurous and determined crocuses that are first to show up for the sun!
I was watching the channel 5 weather report two days ago. the weather man said that the last snowfall in the valleys is usually April 11. On the benches (and unfortuantely for me I'm hight enough to be considered "on the benches" even though that has alwas struck me as a Salt Lake term) it's April 28. Yuck! More to come. MAybe we'll get lucky and it will just rain. At least rain washes away the dirt.
