Oh, how I love monograms! This is a purse that my mom gave me (need you ask? almost all my good stuff comes from my mom! **see post about my benefactor**). Even though I use a diaper bag almost exclusively these days, this purse still hangs on the front of my hall closet because it is so pleasing to me. It's hard to imagine an item that would not be improved by a monogram. The latest Pottery Barn catalog has cards you can buy that are just letters printed in different fonts. They have some framed and they are painfully cute. I'm thinking of making some of my own. (I never would have thought of it, but I am a master at copying other people's great ideas!)

Jessie called me this morning and told me that Target had large (6") monogram magnets in their dollar section. Of course I had to go check it out, but they were already nearly gone! No M's, O's, J's, or any of the other letters I was looking for. But they are lower case, polka dot, and extremely cute, so I say head to your nearest Target and see if they have your monogram!

I'm thinking about collecting M's now because I love them so much. Maybe someday I'll have a cool grouping like Ali Edwards' awesome A's...

All of these pictures are so pleasing. I'm loving your new scanner technology and sharing of Target finds. You know I love monograms too and cannot believe I breezed right by the dollar section at Target yesterday. (These rare moments of restraint always come back to haunt me.)
You and Jill make my envy the monogram....it doesn't fit me I guess, and A doesn't seem like a good letter, it sounds like I need to check out Ali Edwards. Cute pictures, I was in Target recently too and didn't see them, moments of frugality!
Amie, A is a great letter. Never underestimate the A! I am a sucker for monograms. Tonight I was reading the March CK and a lady wrote in that she received a shole bunch of Ks for her birthday. (Her name was Kristi--or something.) Wouldn't that be a fun present?
Monograms. we love them around here. in the south everyone has everything monogrammed. our sheets, our towels, my curtains that i made for my laundry room, pillows, bench covers, all the girls clothes, diaper covers, cover for the rocking chair. it is a little out of control. Jeff said i am not allowed to monogram his scrubs that is where he makes me stop. I don't think there is one bad letter for monogramming you just have to find the right font.
You have inspiried me to do a monograming blog too. I have some great links for this company in new york that does some amazing work. oh i feel inspired!
oh amie! a is such an awesome letter! especially lower case! I love letters! I'd like to find a way for them ALL to be significant for me!
Yea for monograms on anything! In the design trade, I capitalize on any way, shape, or form to use monograms! That Pottery Barn catalog page looked like it came right out of Black-eyed Susan to be sure! I will try to post a picture of my favorite custom designed window valance, alw2ays done in some fabulous silk fabric, of course with monogram! (Generally selling for a mere $ll00-1200.00 !!(Yet another good reason to love monograms, when they result in a profitable and way cute window treatment!)
