happy valentine's day!

I actually cooked breakfast for my family today, something I rarely do. Usually the kids pop in frozen waffles or eat muffins or toast. Marc eats Honey Nut Cheerios almost every single day for breakfast. Well, not today! I made buttermilk pancakes from scratch and we had sliced strawberries and whipped cream. I gave Eva a whole pancake to devour in her high chair and Lucas said, "Do you like that, Eva? It's a pancake! A special Valentine's Day treat!" It's kind of sad that he thinks that pancakes are reserved for holidays and the like, but at our house, it's the truth. I hope you are all having a good day and feeling the love.

hot dogs? sick. I NEVER make breakfast, so I think it's great. I didn't even make breakfast for the holiday.

if breakfast is hot at our house, it is probably a special occasion too! sounds SO yummy! Happy Valentine's!

My kids didn't even know it was Valentine's Day. We didn't have a special breakfast (yours looks so good), but we did have a donut delivery and we did go to the movies as a family so I guess that counts.
