fleeting snow

We woke up to freshly fallen snow this morning. The Salt Lake Airport got 10", but we only got about 1 1/2" here in Orem. It was lovely, though, the most sparkly, glittering snow I've seen in a long time. By the time I was out doing errands, it had almost all melted, but I noticed that the bushes in our front yard were covered with icicles! Now if I can only keep the boys from eating them...

Awesome photo Michelle and kudos to you for seizing the moment and taking it. I hate it when I see something cool and think "what a great picture" but then don't go get my camera right then. What's so bad about them eating the icicles? Perhaps a nice rinse and then voila a chilly snack.

Love the picture! I can't believe that's in your front yard! We just have a lot of dirty snow to look at. Nothing pretty like that.

Cool shot! (Dad will get some ideas!!) Last year when we had a huge snow storm I broke off long 12-24" icicles and stuck them upside down in a big black urn as a sculpture outside the Yardley Inn! It as a big hit! Dad and I are disagreeing on the spelling of icycle.....I know that is one of your pet pieves-----sorry!
