This new little advent I decided to make this year ended up taking more time than I expected.
For some reason, even the filling and hanging seemed like a bigger task than I had anticipated. It's a good thing I love making things. And that I love advent calendars. And that I love my kids and they love advent calendars.
It turned out so great! I knew it would (how could it not?) If it turned out to be a lot more work than you'd anticipated then I'm feeling good about not trying to take it on myself.
(the past few years, i've gone the way of Advent Calendars with little German Chocolates behind the windows. a little chocolate for breakfast is always good, right?)
Seriously, that is one of the cutest things ever! You are so talented and so creative with what you come up with. So cute. I love it and SOOO jealous of your talents.
These are darling! I wish I had finished my advent calendar from 7 years ago (YIKES, I don't even want to think about it). It's still in a box somewhere!
Argh, you're so into details, aren't you? I bet you did your utmost to make sure each little stocking was different, did you? Brilliant.
I sooooooo, soooooo know what you mean about it taking longer than you anticipated. It stuns me each time I do some kind of project how a 'little' part of the process can eat up a big chunk of time and throw things off kilter. But you did it! Enjoy!
I posted the same type of thing- though yours are cuter. It did take a whole lot more time than I expected! I guess trying to make 24 days of magic just isn't that easy!
Clever and creative and cute as usual. Amy and I were talking about you on the phone the other day. She said, "I need an idea for my young women and thought I ought to ask Michelle." You are unparalleled.
copying does count as creative! i love the idea of the inspiration folder, i need to start doing that. the stockings turned out fabulous! what a fun tradition for your children.
don't you love advent calendars? each of the girls have one but i am determined to make one for next year.
i must add this to my to do list in feb/march. i want to start the holiday spirt even earlier next year...and this one is awesome!
(wow, the list is growing already. i STILL have the scalloped punch on my list to purchase. what in the world. i forget about it adn then i see your creations and remember that i so need it).
tis the season for advent calendars! great job and great spt!
